The Devon Partnership NHS Trust is seeking a Band 6 Estates Officer (Operations) to join their Estates Team in Dawlish. The primary responsibility of this role is to assist the Head of Estates in maintaining the Trust's buildings and equipment, ensuring compliance with statutory and mandatory standards. Key tasks include delivering planned and reactive maintenance, managing minor works, and maintaining a safe environment for patients, staff, and visitors. The officer will oversee a portfolio of properties under a Service Level Agreement, refine maintenance programmes, manage contracts, and ensure adherence to current legislation and safe work systems.

Additionally, the Estates Officer will have responsibilities including but not limited to managing budgets, supervising installation and upgrade projects, monitoring the performance of contractors, and ensuring all works are completed within time and financial constraints. The role necessitates extensive knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems, as well as the implementation of safety protocols such as permits to work. The position involves liaising with stakeholders, running management meetings, and assisting in the preparation of tender documents, contributing to the overall effectiveness of the Estates Operational Team.
