The Royal Berkshire NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Reporting Sonographer for its Maternity & Gynaecology Department. The ideal candidate will hold a Postgraduate Certificate in medical ultrasound in obstetrics and gynaecology from a CASE-accredited institution. Key responsibilities include performing and reporting on a variety of ultrasound scans, including transabdominal and transvaginal examinations, and communicating findings to both patients and multidisciplinary teams. The role also involves formulating clinical reports, assisting in the training of student sonographers, and actively participating in service development and innovation.

The Reporting Sonographer will exercise advanced clinical judgment to conduct independent decision-making and uphold professional standards within the department. Additional duties may include training, out-of-hours work, and other tasks as delegated by management, all while maintaining patient confidentiality and contributing to the effective functioning of the ultrasound services at the Royal Berkshire Hospital and its satellite units.
