The Essex Partnership University NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a qualified Arts Psychotherapist for a part-time position (0.5 WTE) in their Adult Inpatient Psychological Services Team in Colchester. This role involves delivering specialized arts psychotherapy interventions for adults dealing with acute mental health crises and rehabilitation needs in various inpatient wards. Candidates must be registered arts psychotherapists with relevant qualifications and experience in addressing a range of presenting needs. The position also offers a Recruitment Retention Premia of 20% for two years, contingent on pre-employment checks and a successful probation period.

Key responsibilities include assessing service users, implementing and evaluating both individual and group arts psychotherapy interventions, contributing to multidisciplinary team discussions, and engaging in service development, audit, and research. Additionally, the role supports the development of trainees in arts psychotherapies and emphasises ongoing professional development for the successful candidate. The team focuses on understanding trauma impacts and improving patient care and timely discharge, with an emphasis on staff well-being, flexible working arrangements, and fostering innovative practices within the inpatient settings.
