The Drug Reporting Technician at Ashford & St. Peter's Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust in Chertsey will play a key role in supporting the finance department and senior pharmacy staff by providing detailed drug spend information and preparing invoice requisitions. The postholder will manage various pharmacy systems including stock control, prescription tracking, and automated dispensing technology, alongside supervising and training pre-registration pharmacy technicians. Responsibilities also include assisting with drug dispensing, ensuring compliance with operational procedures, maintaining accurate stock control, and participating in auditing to minimize errors.

In addition to these duties, the technician will act as a local system administrator for multiple pharmacy databases, handle high-cost drug funding queries, and contribute to NHS guidelines compliance by ensuring accurate reporting for tariff-excluded drugs. The role involves conducting audits, managing drug recalls, and providing training for trust-wide staff on the high-cost drug funding approval processes. The postholder will also engagement with clinical teams to address funding issues and maintain confidentiality regarding sensitive information.
