We are looking for highly motivated and experienced Band 7 senior clinical nurse specialist, and qualified Non-Medical prescriber (NMP) with leadership skills and a passion for working with young people and families.Specialist CAMHS is crucial in providing both assessment and targeted, evidenced based mental health treatment, for children & young people in Hampshire as well as providing pathways for neurodevelopmental diagnoses.There is a strong network of 12 NMP within Hampshire CAMHS with a clear and collaborative governance structure. As well as specialist NMP supervision, there are frequent NMP peer support and governance meetings as well as quarterly CPD meetings with medical and pharmacy colleagues.The service prioritises staff wellbeing and we encourage our colleagues to maintain a healthy and positive work-life balance. Leadership is strong and our ethos is to encourage people to work creatively and be innovative in their thinking to support new and different ways of working. Hampshire CAMHS is a friendly and innovative multi-disciplinary service that works in an exciting and challenging environment, with high levels of complexity and risk. We deliver pathways models for access to evidenced based treatment for young people with moderate to severe mental health difficulties, according to their presenting needs.
Your role will be to provide specialist assessments and nursing interventions, primarily to children and young people who have been referred in for an ADHD assessment and those open to the team's ADHD clinic. You will work closely with the ADHD clinic staff and in addition to your specialist NMP role, you will contribute to ADHD Duty cover as well as offering initial assessments to young people referred to the service. As a senior clinician, you will support the development of more junior staff, and contribute to the wider leadership of the team.
