Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust is seeking a Band 6 Deputy Sister/Charge Nurse for their Acute Cardiac Unit (ACU), a 20-bed facility dedicated to caring for patients in the acute phase of cardiac illness. The role involves managing a busy admissions unit, providing leadership, and delivering optimal patient care for those with various cardiac conditions requiring urgent and level 2 care, including procedures like Angioplasty, TAVI, and ICD insertions. Candidates should have acute cardiology experience, a keen interest in the field, and the ability to effectively interpret ECGs and triage emergency patients.

Ideal applicants are motivated, adaptable, and possess excellent communication skills, with the ability to perform well under pressure. The position requires completion of the Advanced Life Support (ALS) course to manage cardiac emergencies and provide critical oversight when in charge of the unit.
