The University Hospital Southampton NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Band 8a Clinical Occupational Therapist or Physiotherapist to join their Stroke/Neuro team. This newly created role provides an exciting opportunity for a dynamic and passionate therapist to showcase clinical leadership and support the expanded Stroke team within the Hyper Acute Stroke and downstream wards. The successful candidate will work closely with senior leaders to enhance service delivery, focus on quality improvement, and engage in research initiatives, while also offering supervision and development opportunities to therapy staff.

The position requires a professional qualification in Occupational Therapy or Physiotherapy with relevant postgraduate experience, particularly in Stroke care, and strong leadership capabilities. The role includes responsibilities across a range of clinical settings within the Stroke service and the wider Neuro therapy department, ensuring high-quality patient care. Candidates must possess excellent communication skills, the ability to manage diverse teams, and the capacity to thrive under pressure in a fast-paced hospital environment. The trust supports ongoing personal and professional development through extensive training and collaboration with the University of Southampton.
