This Senior Care Assistant role at Avery Healthcare's South Lodge Care Home in Leicester is an opportunity to join an award-winning, supportive team and make a meaningful difference in the lives of residents. The successful candidate will be a compassionate, enthusiastic, and dedicated individual who can provide high-quality personal care and support the care team in creating a safe, caring, and inclusive environment for all.
As a Senior Care Assistant, you will be responsible for monitoring the wellbeing of each resident, being aware of any changes in their care needs, and ensuring that new needs are met. You will be involved in the person-centred care planning process, implementing, monitoring, and evaluating care plans. Additionally, you will support residents with their medication requirements, undertake staff supervisions, and be a key point of contact for residents, their families, and healthcare professionals. The ideal candidate must have an NVQ 3 or equivalent in care for care homes, 2 years' experience in a similar care environment, and the ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing. They should also have a positive attitude to supporting and nurturing residents and staff, and be responsive and flexible to cover a range of responsibilities.

ABOUT THE ROLE
Your focus as a Senior Care Assistant will be tosupport and work alongside the Care team to deliver high standards of personal care, providing a safe, caring, innovative, open, supportive, and inclusive environment for residents, visitors and staff.
Other responsibilitieswillinclude:
- Monitoringthe wellbeing of each resident, being aware of any changeimpactingon care and care plans, ensuring that new needs aremet,and written records are amended to reflect any variation.
- Beinginvolved in the person-centred care planning process, by implementing,monitoring,and undertaking monthly evaluations.
- Supporting residents with their medication requirements.
- Undertaking staff supervisions and supporting staff with their development where required.
- Actingas a key point for contact with residents, theirrelativesand visitors, as well as health and social care professionals involved in their wellbeing, ensuring that any reasonable requests are actedupon,and concerns or complaints are escalated.
