The University Hospitals of Leicester NHS Trust is seeking a substantive Respiratory Consultant with a focus on Cystic Fibrosis (CF) and Bronchiectasis for a 12-month locum position. The role involves joining a multidisciplinary team (MDT) dedicated to providing high-quality care for patients with CF, Bronchiectasis, and Primary Ciliary Dyskinesia. Responsibilities include delivering clinical services through inpatient care, outpatient clinics, and ambulatory care, as well as participating in service development and quality improvement initiatives. While prior experience in CF and Bronchiectasis is desirable, the Trust is open to candidates eager to learn and collaborate within the MDT.

The successful candidate will contribute to the management of a significant patient volume across five respiratory wards and work alongside a diverse team, including physiotherapists, specialist nurses, and pharmacists. The role also includes professional supervision of junior staff and involvement in teaching and training, fostering an environment of continuous improvement and high-quality patient care in alignment with the standards set by the General Medical Council.
