The Clinical Administration & Equipment Lead at St Giles Hospice in Lichfield is responsible for managing the clinical administration team and overseeing the servicing of clinical equipment. Key responsibilities include assessing, planning, and evaluating clinical equipment, ensuring the safety of patients by identifying risks, and managing timely servicing and logging of equipment. The role also involves supporting the administration team by overseeing daily operations, managing volunteer staff, and administering electronic patient record systems, while ensuring compliance with hospice policies and effective communication with external agencies and suppliers.

In addition to clinical equipment management, the post holder will conduct individual performance reviews for clinical administrators, manage stationary procurement for clinical departments, and support the clinical governance structure. The position entails acting as a point of contact for queries, developing procedures, and fulfilling operational requests from the senior management. The role demands strong organisational skills, leadership abilities, and a commitment to maintaining high standards of patient care and operational efficiency within the hospice environment.
