The successful candidate will be a clinical expert in the Neurodevelopmental field of Community Paediatrics, and be expected to deliver appropriate subspecialty care in Neurodevelopmental medicine.
The post holder will be a Consultant member of the Community Paediatric Service. Working autonomously, this role will take responsibility for the patients under their care and be able to manage a full range of presentations within the Service.
The successful candidate will undertake independent outpatient clinics, employing the necessary clinical decision skills to formulate appropriate management plans for the patients under their care. In addition, the appointee will cover the on-call in hours rota.
Although working autonomously, the post holder will have the necessary understanding of their own limits and seek help when required.
The post holder will be involved with the assessment of children on Neurodevelopment pathways.

The Community Paediatric Service is divided geographically into two areas, Vale Royal (Winsford and Northwich) and South Cheshire (Crewe, Nantwich, Middlewich, Sandbach, Alsager). The former is based in Winsford and the latter at Leighton Hospital. The service is Consultant led, with Specialty Doctor and Specialist Higher Trainee (ST3+) support. There is also a team of nurses delivering their own clinics.
