The main purpose of this post is to actively manage the administrative process of patient pathways ensuring a smooth and efficient service for patients throughout their appointments and subsequent treatments for the Termination of pregnancy service.
The post holder will handle highly confidential and sometimes very contentious and sensitive information of personal and financial nature and sometimes will therefore be relied upon to observe and comply with specific and implied confidentiality rules and polices, as well as those depicted by the Royal College of Obstetricians & Gynaecologists (RCOG), National Institute for Clinical Excellence (NICE) and Welsh Government (WG).
The post holder should have excellent organisation skills, be able to communicate with all levels of staff, outside organisations and demonstrate significant level of initiative within broad procedural guidelines.
The post holder is expected to work independently and flexibly to support the service, this may involve working across sites and evenings as required. Work is managed rather than supervised.
