The Digital Infrastructure Server Specialist at the Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital NHS Trust is tasked with implementing, supporting, and maintaining the Trust's server and storage infrastructure. This role requires collaboration with other digital specialists to ensure that the infrastructure delivers secure, resilient, and highly available services essential for patient care. Responsibilities include maintaining existing information systems, developing new systems, providing expertise in Linux and Windows server support, and managing VMware, SAN, and NAS storage solutions. The specialist will also focus on cybersecurity measures, contribute to disaster recovery planning, and automate routine tasks through scripting.

Additionally, the position involves regular communication with Trust users and managers, offering accurate updates on incidents, and promoting a customer-focused IT support service. The role also encompasses training, documenting systems and procedures, and managing risks associated with data security. A strong emphasis is placed on analysis, project management, and continuous knowledge sharing to enhance team capabilities and ensure compliance with Trust policies.
