The Upper Gastrointestinal Clinical Nurse Specialist at Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust will collaborate with a team to assess, implement, and evaluate patient care for individuals presenting with upper gastrointestinal (UGI) cancer and related conditions. The ideal candidate should possess expertise and enthusiasm in Upper GI surgery and oncology, demonstrating flexibility to meet team needs. This role calls for a dedicated and innovative individual eager to enhance clinical skills and contribute to the service’s efficiency and academic profile, all while delivering exceptional care to patients and their families.

The role of the Clinical Nurse Specialist in the Upper GI Team is to work alongside other Band 7 team members in the assessment, implementation and evaluation of patient care for those who present with UGI cancer investigation and diagnosis and related conditions.

The successful applicant must be willing to be flexible to meet the needs of this team and must demonstrate knowledge, expertise and passion in working within the speciality of Upper GI surgery and or Oncology

The nurse specialist will work in collaboration with specialist and other professional teams.
