Mersham Medical Centre in Thornton Heath is seeking a friendly and flexible Practice Nurse to replace a retiring staff member. The ideal candidate will be a key part of a supportive, small GP practice, responsible for providing health advice to patients both in person and over the phone. Duties will include ensuring adherence to health and safety legislation and data protection, reporting any changes in patient care, following infection control procedures, and managing chronic diseases as outlined by the practice.

Additional responsibilities encompass conducting health checks, immunisations, vaccinations, and treating minor injuries. The Practice Nurse will work under the accountability of Clinical Partners and with the managerial oversight of the Practice Manager, while also promoting equal opportunities within the practice. The role requires teamwork and a commitment to continuous improvement, with the job description subject to periodic updates based on consultation and review.

We are looking to recruit to replace Nurse due to retirement. Potential candidate should be friendly, flexible. We are small GP Practice with very supportive clinical and non clinical Team.

Provision of health advice to patients both face-to-face and via the telephone.Have knowledge of and act at all times with in the boundaries of health & safety legislation and the data protection act.Work safely at all times in accordance with Legislative requirements and Practice Policy and Procedures.Report all matters pertaining to patients care changes in condition/circumstances to a relevant member of the nursing or medical team as a matter of priority and ensure that a documented record is kept.Ensure that infection control procedures are followed in accordance with local guidelines.

The completion of health checks, health screening, immunisation and vaccination programmes.To provide a service to patients with injuries or conditions requiring a dressing.
