The Royal Berkshire NHS Foundation Trust is looking for Student Nursing Associates (SNA) to join their team in Reading as part of a workforce transformation initiative aimed at increasing the number of Nursing Associates within the organisation. This role bridges the gap between Registered Nurses and Health Care Assistants. Selected apprentices will participate in a two-year training program leading to registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council, which combines both academic study and practical work experience across various healthcare settings.

Candidates must be motivated individuals willing to work full-time (37.5 hours a week), including shifts during nights, weekends, and holidays. Essential requirements include GCSE qualifications in Maths and English, along with relevant residency criteria. Applicants may be internal or external and will be required to complete the Care Certificate before beginning the Nursing Associate program. Interviews will be conducted jointly with the University of West London, and interested candidates must submit documentation demonstrating their qualifications and residency status.

More about the NHS
The National Health Service (NHS) is a cornerstone of healthcare in the United Kingdom, established in 1948 with the simple yet profound principle of providing healthcare to all citizens, free at the point of use. This revolutionary system aimed to ensure that access to medical services would not depend on an individual’s financial situation, a concept that has since become fundamental to British societal values.Learn more...
