The role of Primary Mental Health Worker at Hampshire and Isle of Wight Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust in Fareham is designed for newly qualified Nurses, Occupational Therapists, or Social Workers seeking to complete their Preceptorship or ASYE. This position involves working within the Early Help Team to conduct CAMHS assessments for children and young people referred through the Single Point of Access. Successful candidates will engage with a multidisciplinary team to discuss cases, participate in reflective practice, and co-facilitate therapeutic group programs, emphasizing collaborative support for young individuals and their families.

Candidates should possess strong communication skills to build effective relationships and advocate for the emotional needs of children and families. Responsibilities also include providing consultations to primary care workers, offering evidence-based therapeutic interventions, managing a small caseload, and delivering training to agencies involved in children's mental health care.
