We are looking for a well-rounded individual to lead and manage the service who has insight and experience within the fields of education, PSHE and public health.
To lead and further develop the SHIPS programme of work, including: coordinating the delivery of health promotion programmes and initiatives in educational and Child/Youth focussed settings, working closely with settings to support them in implementing a whole school approach to health and wellbeing in line with OFSTED requirements.
Networking with relevant partners to raise the service profile and collaborating across organisations to identify opportunities for more joined-up working which minimises duplication and ensures a clear and comprehensive system-wide offer to settings, aimed at improving the health and well-being of the school aged population. The role includes leading and promotion of preventative sexual health work across the county, incorporating targeted health education, and co-ordination of the C-Card scheme for young people up to the age of 25.
