We are looking for a talented and motivated Specialist Speech and Language Therapist to join our team at The Laurels on a part time, permanent basis.
About usLocated just two miles from the historic city of Lincoln, The Laurels provides specialist neurological rehabilitation and support to patients with acquired and traumatic brain injury, severe neurological conditions, complex stroke, and spinal cord injury. Therefore, this role is ideal for candidates with Band 7 equivalent experience, who can confidently work independently and autonomously.
With the position being one day per week, it is well-suited to individuals with other commitments, such as additional employment, training, and/or personal obligations, offering a flexible work arrangement. This role provides a unique opportunity to showcase and further develop neurorehabilitation skills and knowledge, while also allowing the freedom to explore other specialties and client groups.
Here at The Laurels, our interdisciplinary team is composed of skilled professionals, including a Rehabilitation Consultant, Neuropsychology, Speech and Language Therapy, Physiotherapy and Occupational Therapy, work together to develop person-centred, evidence-based rehabilitation care plans that aim to maximise independence and recovery.
We deliver high-quality and intensive neurological rehabilitation. Our comprehensive approach includes physical, cognitive, functional, and vocational assessments, along with behavioural management and complex disability assessments for adults.

What you'll be working:
This role is 7.5 hours per week, and we are happy to discuss a flexible working pattern.
What you'll be doing:
In this role you will deliver a specialist Speech and Language Therapy service, managing and prioritising a caseload of patients with highly complex speech, language and communication impairments and swallowing difficulties. Using evidence-based patient centred principles to assess, plan, implement and evaluate interventions, that complement working in a specialist inpatient neurological rehabilitation unit.
