The role of a Band 5 Speech & Language Therapist (XR05) at Leeds Teaching Hospitals involves providing assessment, diagnosis, and treatment for patients with communication and swallowing impairments. This temporary position offers the chance to join an innovative and supportive Adult Speech & Language Therapy team, working alongside experienced therapists and multidisciplinary healthcare professionals. The successful candidate will manage their own caseload and participate in a rotation through various clinical areas, such as acute inpatient care, neurosurgery, and stroke rehabilitation.

Candidates should be registered with the HCPC and RCSLT, possess a degree or equivalent in speech and language therapy, and ideally have experience in acute settings, particularly with dysphagia. This role requires strong assessment, treatment, and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate within a team and provide high-quality care to patients.
