The North Staffordshire Combined Healthcare Trust is seeking a qualified Counsellor/Support Officer for their Staff Support and Counselling Service in Stoke-on-Trent. This part-time position offers 15 hours per week, covering Thursdays and Fridays, with a salary range of £29,970 - £36,483 pro rata. The successful candidate will provide short-term counselling and coaching support to staff, as well as oversee training, team building, and stress management initiatives. Responsibilities include conducting assessments, managing a clinical caseload, developing therapy plans, and contributing to health and wellbeing programs within the Trust.

Candidates should possess a Professional Diploma in counselling or psychotherapy, have experience in managing various client issues including stress and relationship challenges, and demonstrate strong communication skills. The role involves collaboration with a clinical team, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring adherence to BACP ethical standards. Additionally, the Counsellor/Support Officer will mentor students and volunteers, oversee critical incident stress management, and support the development and implementation of staff wellbeing strategies.
