Salaried GP with Audlem Medical Practice in Crewe
AUDLEM MEDICAL PRACTICE - We are a 5100 patient rural practice based in the traditional Cheshire village of Audlem. We are looking for a part-time GP to work Tuesday, Thursday and Friday to support our current clinical team of 3 GP partners, 1 Nurse Practitioner, 1 Nurse Prescriber, and 1 Nurse Associate. We have embraced the ARRS scheme with a Social Prescriber, Physiotherapist, Pharmacist and Care Co-Ordinator working with an extended administration team to reduce the load on clinicians. We are a training practice and also host Keele University Medical Students. We are a friendly team and value all our staff and their well-being. We support and encourage personal and practice development to improve both the care we deliver and our working lives. We score highly on the national GP survey and having patients that are happy with the service we provide helps us all feel good about what we do. We have a monthly practice meeting and development session, regular clinical meetings and perhaps more importantly we promote an equal, informed, and enjoyable working environment, including shared lunchtimes in the staff room. We have excellent staff retention, and we are looking for somebody who wants to develop their career and deliver excellent care. We are looking for a Salaried GP, either experienced or newly qualified who is happy to work 3/4 days a week (4 - 7 sessions) we would need the successful applicant to deal with patients, both via the telephone and face to face, deal with prescriptions, look at clinical paperwork (our admin team operate a document management system, so only documents essential for a GP to see are sent through) deal with lab reports, referrals and all other administrative duties that GPs undertake. About us Undertake a variety of duties including surgery consultations, telephone consultations and queries, visiting patients at home, checking and signing repeat prescriptions and dealing with queries, paperwork and correspondence in a timely manner Make professional, autonomous decisions in relation to presenting problems Assessing the health needs to patients with undifferentiated and undiagnosed problems Screening patients for disease risk factors and early signs of illness Contributing to QOF requirements and producing plans and following protocols as required Referrals and admissions Dealing patient clinical correspondence and lab reports Prescribing in accordance with accepted formulary Recording clear and contemporaneous consultation notes In general the post holder will be required to undertake all duties and responsibilities associated with working in a GP practice.
