Summary:
Shaftesbury Icanho is seeking a Specialist Occupational Therapist to join their interdisciplinary team, focusing on rehabilitation for clients with Acquired Brain Injury (ABI), including stroke rehabilitation. This role involves providing specialized assessments, developing evidence-based treatment plans, and delivering client-centered interventions aimed at promoting independence and facilitating return to work/study.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage a caseload of ABI clients, conducting assessments and interventions.
  • Collaborate with clients, families, and other professionals to set and achieve rehabilitation goals.
  • Supervise rehabilitation assistants and OT students, promoting their development.
  • Engage in interdisciplinary meetings and contribute to service development and best practices.
  • Participate in audits and research activities while maintaining high standards of clinical record keeping.
  • Provide education and support to families and caregivers.

Qualifications:

  • Background in Occupational Therapy with a strong interest in neuro-rehabilitation.
  • Ability to maintain effective communication and relationships with clients, families, and external stakeholders.
