The role of Practice Educator for Enhanced Clinical Practice in Urgent Treatment Centres (UTCs) with Derbyshire Community Health Services NHSFT involves supporting the development of trainees in enhanced and advanced clinical practice. This position, available as a 12-month fixed-term contract or secondment, requires a qualified Enhanced Community Practitioner (ECP) with at least two years of relevant experience. The educator will work across a variety of clinical settings throughout Derbyshire, providing one-on-one supervision, conducting workplace-based assessments, and facilitating small group learning sessions. The aim is to enhance clinical skills, decision-making, and the overall service delivery in UTCs, with an emphasis on flexibility in working arrangements.

Successful candidates will be part of a Multi-Professional Practice Education Team, benefiting from peer support and additional training. Responsibilities include enhancing trainees’ clinical reasoning and assessment skills, providing structured feedback, and contributing to the evaluation and expansion of the practice education service. The role may also involve direct patient interaction, with opportunities to lead educational sessions and collaborate in establishing a learning network for practice educators and clinicians across Derbyshire.
