Do you hold a passion for supporting children and young people to meet their occupational potential? Are you looking for variety with your day to day clinical practice? Do you want to build on your existing paediatric skills or are you looking for a career change and feel you have transferrable skills that would be well suited to paediatric occupational therapy?
We are looking for individuals with an interest in delivering occupational therapy to children and young people with long term neurological and genetic conditions (e.g. Cerebral Palsy, Encephalitis, Metabolic Disorders, Rett Syndrome). The post holders will provide support to children and young people who experience difficulties with: engaging in developmentally appropriate play, maintaining a functional posture and engaging in essential everyday activities due to physical limitations and environmental barriers. Intervention includes therapeutic handling, postural management, moving and handling recommendations and environmental adaptation.
We are looking for individuals who are keen to invest in their own development and in return we will support you through professional and clinical supervision, shadowing and co-working opportunities, in-service training, professional forums, trust wide AHP research group, and funding opportunities for relevant external training courses.
