Clinical Lead - Prison Mental Health Team - £3,000 Joining Bonus with Tees Esk and Wear Valleys NHS Foundation Trust in Hull
Are you registered Mental Health Nurse, Learning Disability Nurse, Occupational Therapist or Social Worker? Have you thought about working within prison mental health services? Want to deliver community mental health services within the prison environment? Additionally, to the competency framework, we offer a comprehensive induction and workforce development plan with a vast array of personal, professional and academic training opportunities enabling you to expand your skill set and evidence-based practices HMP Hull is Local Category B prison and we are looking additional Clinical Leads to provide mental health care to patients. This role will be responsible for assessment and caseload management of those referred into Mental health services working as part of a stepped care model. You will completing comprehensive assessments, confidently communicating treatment options and initiating supportive care plans, and providing evidence-based interventions alongside the wider multi-disciplinary team. You will work with internal and external partners, including partner healthcare providers, prison colleagues, social care providers, probation services. As such, you will need excellent communication skills and a teamwork ethos. You will either be a Registered Mental Health Nurse / Social Worker/ Occupational Therapist. You'll have a flexible approach to working within a team that encourages new ideas and opinions on how to improve the service. You will have experience providing compassionate mental health care and have an understanding of the criminal justice system. You will make on going assessment of need reflecting individual circumstances and provide relevant interventions and input to discharge planning. You will be required to have strong coordination and planning skills, with the ability to make decisions based on comprehensive health and risk assessments. You should be innovative, flexible and able to engage with patients with complex needs. You will be committed to a person-centred approach and have the ability to prioritise. A £3,000 Trust welcome bonus will be applied to this post and is paid, as follows; £1,500 upon joining the Trust £750 after year 1 £750 after year 2 Applications are welcome from those registered with the Trust's Temporary Staffing Service (Bank) or that undertake work for the Trust via an external agency. However, please be aware that this incentive is only applicable to individual's on one occasion only. Therefore, you will not be eligible if you have received it previously.
