The Improving Cancer Journey Programme Manager (Macmillan) position at NHS Bristol, North Somerset and South Gloucestershire Integrated Care Board is an 18-month fixed-term role focused on enhancing cancer care outcomes and quality of life for the local population. The successful candidate will lead initiatives aimed at reducing inequalities in cancer care, establishing unified delivery systems, and fostering collaborative relationships across various organisations, including health services, community leaders, and voluntary sectors.

Key responsibilities include developing and implementing strategies to improve the cancer journey, mapping existing services to identify best practices and gaps, and establishing a steering group to prioritize efforts. The Programme Manager will also work closely with primary care to create the role of Cancer Care Coordinator, ensuring seamless patient navigation throughout their cancer treatment process. The role is supported by a partnership with Macmillan Cancer Support and emphasises stakeholder engagement and proactive network development within the Integrated Care System (ICS).
