As a Commissioning Support Administrator, the post holder will work as part of a dynamic Business Office in the Public Health Commissioning Team in the East of England. The team is responsible for delivering an effective service supporting ICB's across the East of England in the management of Screening and Immunisation contracts, the commissioning and decommissioning of services, performance management, assurance and projects.

The Public Health Commissioning Team is part of the Public Health Directorate.

The principal role of the post holder will be to provide a skilled and full range of administrative duties in support of the Public Health Commissioning Teams workstreams and functions.

  • Provide comprehensive administrative support to the team, ensuring a thorough understanding of procedures, protocols, and functions.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for a diverse range of stakeholders within the work area.
  • Handle complex information, including contentious and sensitive data, with discretion.
  • Communicate and engage effectively with both internal and external stakeholders, utilising negotiation skills and understanding the needs and requirements of various organisations, senior professionals, and individuals.
  • Update and maintain databases and spreadsheets relevant to the work area.
  • Manage meeting arrangements, including taking and distributing minutes, which may involve off-site attendance.
  • Manage shared mailboxes and diaries, and associated arrangements for senior managers and directors as required.
