Band 7: £46,840 to £53,602 a year per annum  PERMANENT 
Hywel Dda University Health Board is seeking a Senior Community Infection Prevention Nurse to join their Public Health Directorate in Carmarthen. This role requires a motivated individual to provide leadership and clinical expertise in developing, implementing, and evaluating a comprehensive Infection Prevention and Control (IPC) program. The successful candidate will work collaboratively between the Health Board and Local Authorities, focusing on preventing infections in various community settings, conducting training and education initiatives, and driving service development.

Key responsibilities include managing and interpreting clinical information to enhance IPC strategies, creating standards and audits for best practices, and engaging with various stakeholders, including the Immunisation & Health Protection Service. Strong project management skills, the ability to address conflicts, and an understanding of policy development are essential. While fluency in Welsh is desirable, applications from English speakers are also welcomed. The position emphasises continuous improvement in community health and employee support for bilingualism within the organisation.
