The successful applicant will spend the majority of their job planned time working within the Intensive Care Unit.
We currently work fixed half week blocks; Monday Tuesday Wednesday, or Wednesday, Thursday Friday, on a rolling 4 week cycle.In addition to this will be an on call commitment.
The standard day will consist of a multi disciplinary ward round, followed by clinical work, teaching and administrative duties as dictated by the clinical tempo.
We have standard Respiratory and CardioVascular support and Renal support via CVVH/D. We are keen advocates of Trans Thoracic Ultrasound.
Time may also be spent within an allied speciality for example Anaesthesia or Emergency Medicine, or working within the regional transfer service.

This post will have a regular commitment to Intensive Care Medicine but will also be able to accommodate additional specialities such as Anaesthesia, Emergency Medicine and other allied specialities. .
