The role of Senior Medicine Management Pharmacy Technician at King's College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust in Bromley involves developing and participating in ward-based pharmacy services while ensuring high-quality delivery in collaboration with clinical and patient services staff. The post holder will serve as a technical liaison between the wards and the pharmacy team, focusing on managing patients' own drugs, supporting discharge planning, and providing patient counseling. Responsibilities include overseeing the timely and accurate supply of medications, maintaining adherence to policies and performance standards, conducting in-house competency assessments, and potentially covering dispensary services as required.

The technician will also assist in the development of the medicines management service, accuracy check clinically screened prescriptions, and support the Deputy Dispensary Manager in overseeing dispensary operations. This includes organizing services for inpatients and outpatients, addressing dispensary errors, and participating in cross-site meetings for standardisation of practices. The position demands a proactive approach in maintaining compliance with policies and improving patient-focused pharmacy services.
