Our pharmacy department is committed to providing an innovative service that focuses on patient care and experience, and we're currently hiring enthusiastic Pharmacy Medicines Management Assistants to join us. This is an ideal opportunity for you to start your career in Pharmacy, developing your knowledge and experience in our dynamic and diverse team.

This is a great role to start your career as a Pharmacy Assistant, as you'll receive all the training and support you need to be your best. You'll support Pharmacists and Pharmacy Technicians by providing supervised pharmacy services, including dispensing of medicines, and replenishing and maintaining ward stocks and patients' own medicines. This is a progressive role which will commence as a Band 2 and on completion of relevant qualification and competencies will progress to a Band 3.

Working under supervision at all times, you'll also work on the inpatient/outpatient hatch receiving prescriptions, deal with routine enquiries from patients and hospital staff, maintain drug stocks, assemble prescriptions, and check and receive deliveries using Pharmacy systems. The department rota, in which you'll participate, will include weekends and Bank Holidays.

  • To rotate though all areas of the technical service, in particular wards and the Inpatient Dispensary.
  • Participate in patient centered care, at ward level.
  • Follow Standard Operating Procedures relevant to your role.
