Band 7: £51,883 to £58,544 a year per annum, inclusive of HCAS  PERMANENT 
The MECSH Advisor will support clinical practices for the MECSH programme within their allocated team through training, reflection, supervision and case review.


Context:

Maternal Early Childhood Sustained Home-visiting (MECSH) is a licenced intervention programme delivered within a CBUs Health Visiting service. There are clear criteria for referral of clients into the MECSH programme.


Job Purpose:

The MECSH Advisor will work with the CBU leadership team and Health Visitor teams. They will have the key responsibility to support the Health Visitors to effectively implement the MECSH Programme within their practice and work collaboratively with them to improve the equity and quality of child and family health service delivery.

The MECSH Advisor will support clinical practices for the MECSH programme within their allocated team through training, reflection, supervision and case review. They will hold a small pro-rated caseload of generic clients which will include MECSH clients.

An exciting opportunity has arisen in the Brent Universal Children's Service, and we are seeking a
MECSH (Maternal Early Childhood Sustained Home visiting) Advisor
to lead on the continuing delivery of MECSH and support Health Visitors in our Universal Health Visiting services across Brent.

You will be joining a forward thinking and innovative integrated Universal Children's Service providing Health Visiting, School Nursing, Infant Nutrition and Healthy Weight services in Brent. We have excellent relationships with services across Brent and work in partnership with Brent Family Well Being Centres and the Brent Early Years Teams.

You will be a registered SCPHN Health Visitor practitioner with significant experience in practice. You will have been offering MECSH or similar in your current or previous role and keen to see this offer of support to families continue and grow. You will also support the delivery of
quality family centred
care where children are at the heart of the work you lead. You will have a
passion for public health nursing
seeking new ways of working with families.

You will seek and develop innovative ways of working with Brent families to enable children to have their best start in life. You will provide focused MECSH leadership, advise, support and training to the Health Visiting Service. You will be supported by a Clinical Services Manager and Clinical Lead and the Team Leaders of the Universal Service along with the wider resources of the Clinical Service Unit, Division, CLCH and the CLCH Academy. MECSH UK are also a resource for you. You will also have corporate membership of the
iHV and SAPHNA.
