The Adult Autism team is looking for a Clinical or Counselling Psychologist skilled in multidisciplinary collaboration, assessment, and evidence-based intervention for adult patients along the Neurodevelopmental pathway. Key responsibilities include:

  • Assessment and Intervention: Conduct neuropsychological assessments and provide targeted interventions for individuals and groups suspected of having Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD).
  • Caseload Management: Manage a clinical caseload autonomously, performing assessments, making treatment recommendations, and coordinating discharges.
  • Risk Management: Carry out risk assessments and provide guidance to other professionals on psychological risk management.
  • Clinical Decision-Making: Utilize analytical skills to tackle complex clinical cases and make informed decisions.
  • Supervision and Training: Supervise assistant psychologists and trainees, while also providing training and consultation to the team and external professionals.
  • Consultation: Offer consultation on autism issues to other mental health practitioners and agencies, facilitating access to mental health services for autism clients.
  • Service Development: Participate in service evaluations, policy audits, and contribute to improvements within the autism service.
