The Supply Chain Manager at Mersey and West Lancashire Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust is responsible for overseeing the Transactional, Receipt and Distribution, and Supply Chain teams to ensure efficient logistics, stock availability, and quality service delivery to clinical departments. This role involves close collaboration with NHS Supply Chain and Category Managers to manage stock issues, optimize product offerings, and implement improvements in supply chain processes. Key responsibilities include managing audits, handling MHRA alerts, ensuring compliance with procurement standards, and providing training on inventory management systems.

Additionally, the manager will lead a team that requires the recruitment and appraisal of staff, addressing logistical contingencies, and coordinating stock flow to meet operational needs. The role requires proactive engagement with clinical staff for feedback, reporting on stock usage trends, and participating in divisional groups to contribute to the Trust's financial and operational targets.
