MULTI-DISCIPLINARY NHS ROLE MODEL
The Junior Sister (Band 6) role at St George's University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust involves supporting and deputizing for the Ward Sister, ensuring excellent nursing care and effective management of the busy Belgrave Ward, which specializes in general cardiology. The position requires day-to-day management and coordination of the 24-bedded ward, providing leadership to the nursing team, fostering education and training opportunities, and ensuring high-quality service and clinical management.
As part of a multi-disciplinary team, the Junior Sister will play a crucial role in delivering quality patient care, overseeing safe discharge processes, and adapting to the evolving demands of cardiology services at this leading teaching hospital. - To support and deputise for the Ward Sister to ensure the provision of excellent nursing care and the effective management of staff and other resources.
- Also to carry out the day-to-day management and co-ordination of the ward/department.
- To ensure that there are education and training opportunities for all staff, including pre and post registration students and /or providing specialist knowledge.

- Belgrave Ward is a very busy general cardiology ward and is part of the newly formed Cardiology Clinical Academic Group to further developments in Cardiology.
- We now have a permanent position for a Junior Sister (band 6) to provide day to day leadership of this busy 24 bedded cardiology ward.
- Belgrave Ward is a dynamic ward that is changing with the increasing demands on the St George's Cardiology service, a regional tertiary centre delivering high quality care.
- You will be expected to work as an excellent role model both for clinical skills and leadership.
- You will be part of multi-disciplinary team working together to provide quality service provision, excellent clinical management and safe and effective discharge processes.
