We are looking to recruit an experienced and enthusiastic Clinical Audit & Quality Improvement Facilitator to join a well-established Quality Assurance team. Your main role will be to support the Trust and its clinicians in the facilitation of a wide range of clinical audit activity and Quality Improvement Projects.
The post holder will support a wide range of work from mandatory national audits to locally identified audits. Support for compliance with national guidance (NICE guidance) will also be part of this role. The post holder will have responsibility for supporting audit for specific divisions. As a Clinical Audit & Quality Improvement Facilitator, you will have a good awareness of the concepts of clinical audit and effectiveness and of the general quality governance agenda within the NHS.
You will have excellent communication skills, both verbally and in writing and will need to be able to analyse and clearly present complex data. You will be expected to work closely with clinicians and staff across the Trust and should have a flexible, team player approach to your work.
o To provide guidance and support for the Trust-wide Clinical Audit and Effectiveness and Quality Improvement programme, working with clinicians and other healthcare staff in the promotion, design, implementation, and reporting of effective audit.o To work with the Divisions and Units to develop clinical audit forward plans to meet national and local priorities and assist in monitoring key aspects of the plan.o To undertake specific projects in line with the Trust's strategy and objectives and priorities as set by the Integrated Governance and Risk. Management Committee and the Clinical Audit Committee.o To maintain up to date and accurate records of clinical audit activity and of resulting action plans, in order to effectively manage re-audit and closure of the audit loop.o To liaise with members of the Quality Assurance & Patient Safety team in order to provide a cohesive approach to quality management at The Royal Marsden NHS Foundation Trust.

Facilitate the development of multidisciplinary Clinical Audit programmes, including the preparation of detailed audit proposals for consideration by the Clinical Audit Committee Ensure clinical audit forward plans link with the Trusts strategy and priorities. Liaise with Unit Audit Leads and Divisional Managers to develop a clinical audit forward plan to meet national and local priorities. Regularly report progress with the audit forward plan to the Divisions and Units, and ensure recommendations are implemented and re-audited as required. Ensure patient and carer participation in developing proposals for audit and surveys as appropriate.
