Barts Health NHS Trust is looking to recruit a Senior Anaesthetic Practitioner/Operating Department Practitioner (ODP) for its expanding theatre department in London, comprising 9 theatres across two sites, including the new Centre of Excellence Orthopaedic Unit. The successful candidate will be a registered nurse with NMC pin or an ODP with HCPC registration, demonstrating strong leadership, communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team. They will provide high-quality, patient-centered peri-operative care, support Band 7 team leaders in managing theatre activities, and take charge of the department as needed.

The role requires flexibility in working patterns, including long days, nights, weekends, and bank holidays. The Senior Anaesthetic Practitioner/ODP will be responsible for mentoring less experienced colleagues, managing departmental operations, and understanding budget and workforce management to facilitate seamless service delivery within the theatre environment. Candidates should be passionate about high standards of patient care aligned with the Trust's WeCare Values.
