Band 8c: £74,290 to £85,601 a year per annum pro rata  PERMANENT 

NHS Cornwall and Isles of Scilly Integrated Care Board (ICB) is a statutory NHS organisation responsible for developing a plan for meeting the health needs of our communities, managing the NHS budget, and arranging for the provision of joined up health services which improve the lives of people who live and work in Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly.

  • improving the health of children and young people
  • supporting people to stay well and independent
  • acting sooner to help those with preventable conditions
  • supporting those with long-term conditions or mental health issues

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced head of clinical quality or quality manager to lead a dynamic team working to ensure that residents of Cornwall and Isles of Scilly receive high quality, safe, clinically effective care and support whilst positively experiencing care that is personal to their needs. The post holder will lead on monitoring, assuring and developing the quality of services the ICB commissions. The post holder will bring their clinical expertise and experience in relation to patient safety, clinical effectiveness and patient experience to ensure the commissioning and contracting of high quality health services and will provide expert input into strategic and clinical planning, standard setting and assurance processes. The post-holder will work closely with the Director of Nursing in providing leadership and direction, working collaboratively in ensuring an integrated approach to quality, performance management, the continuous improvement of services, triangulating data, challenging providers accordingly and investigating urgent quality issues and concerns. The post-holder will lead the delivery of the ICB Quality Assurance Framework and will have a specific remit in management of routine/ enhanced quality monitoring; addressing underperformance where appropriate; directing remedial action plans; ensuring delivery of quality improvements; and oversight of clinical quality financial incentives schemes i.e. CQUIN/ quality premium. The post-holder will develop and nurture key relationships, maintain networks internally and externally, including national networks, to support the building of strong, trustful and respectful relationships with partners to ensure patients receive safe, high quality care.
