The Preceptorship Clinical/Counselling Psychologist role at Oxleas NHS Foundation Trust's Greenwich CAMHS offers a unique opportunity for trainees and current Band 7 psychologists to develop their skills within the Learning Disability and Neurodevelopmental Team. The position includes guaranteed funding for further training and supports the delivery of psychological assessments and interventions for young people with conditions such as ASD and ADHD, addressing various complex mental health needs. Psychologists will work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team, partake in therapy groups, and explore evidence-based therapeutic models while receiving regular supervision and professional development.

Key responsibilities involve conducting specialized psychological assessments, formulating treatment plans, implementing psychological interventions, and providing guidance to colleagues. The role also emphasises leadership, research involvement, and contributions to service development, ensuring a reflective practice aligned with professional standards. The preceptorship provides a structured path for progression to an 8a Band position within 18 months to 2 years post-qualification, fostering an environment conducive to both personal and professional growth.
