An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Heath care support worker to join the nursing team on ward E Neath Port Talbot Hospital. Ward E is an elective orthopaedic ward. All patients are screened prior to admission.
This role is vital in maintaining quality care and will play a big part in the pre and post-operative preparation and recovery of our patients.
You will be carrying out several assigned clinical and care tasks related with direct patient care which can have a truly remarkable impact. You will be supported and supervised by a Registered Nurse while carrying out these activities.
You will be responsible for following care plans and recording all personally generated observations and documenting care given in individual's patient records
Your duties will also involve recording of Vital Signs, Manual Handling, Infection Prevention and Control, Safeguarding and carrying out Hydration & Nutrition checks.
You will also be supporting the Registered/Assistant Practitioner to deliver quality care based on the needs of the patient.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.
