This is an exciting opportunity to be part of The Oldham Mental Health Support Team (MHST).
Delivering Evidence-Based CBT Interventions for children and young people, with mild to moderate mental health problems, in Education Settings.
Applicants must have successfully completed the 1year Post Graduate Certificate 'Education Mental Health Practitioner (EMHP)'course in order to be considered for shortlisting.
We welcome applications from qualified EMHP's and Trainee EMHPs who are due to finish their training in January 2025.
You must have registration as an EMHP or have an in-progress application for registration as an EMHP with BABCP or BPS. This will be verified at interview and during pre-employment checks.
We are looking for qualified EMHPs, with mental health experience, who can provide low intensity evidenced based CBT interventions and are passionate about young person-centred practice.
Successful candidates will play an important part in the in the delivery of high-quality service provision that promotes and improves the mental health and well-being of young people in education settings.
You will be empowered to shape and build the service with further education settings in Oldham. You will help build and maintain positive working relationships with colleagues and the wider network.
Delivering outcome focused, Evidence-Based Interventions in Educational Settings for children and young people experiencing mild to moderate mental health difficulties.
Developing skills in supporting children and young people experiencing mild to moderate mental health difficulties, their parents/carers, families and educators in the self-management of presenting difficulties.
Developing and practicing Evidence-Based skills and working in partnership with children, young people, their families and educators in the development of treatment plans for the specific intervention and agreeing outcomes.
Work in collaboration with children and young people and where appropriate parents/carers to formulate and develop agreed treatment plan.
