The Mid and South Essex NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Diagnostic Medical Physics Expert to join their radiation protection team in Southend on Sea. The role, which can be considered for a Band 7 Progression to Band 8a upon competency completion, involves supervising quality control of x-ray equipment and adhering to Ionising Radiation (Medical Exposure) Regulations 2017. The successful candidate will engage in routine diagnostic quality assurance, provide input for the PET-CT facility at Southend Hospital, and contribute to staff training and development within the team, including potential involvement in MRI and laser protection tasks.

This position offers flexibility with part-time or annualized hours while emphasizing professional growth and responsibility in incident management, research applications, and protocol development.
