The role of Bank Advanced Nurse Practitioner at Wigan GP Alliance involves enhancing healthcare access and outcomes for residents in the Borough who face difficulties accessing primary care services, particularly during core hours. The successful candidate will operate from various locations and mobile units, providing comprehensive primary care, including disease prevention, smoking cessation support, long-term condition reviews, and managing care pathways for specific health issues. Responsibilities also include recording clinical data, diagnosing, and implementing treatment plans, as well as ensuring proper referrals and ongoing communication with clinical colleagues to maintain best practices and compliance with the NMC code of conduct.

In addition to clinical duties, the practitioner will support non-medical prescribing, offer immediate treatment as needed, and assist in clinical audits. The role also involves providing guidance to healthcare assistants who support the clinical efforts. Overall, candidates are expected to collaborate effectively within the organisation to ensure optimal health outcomes for patients needing support the most.
