We are looking for an Extra Care Support Worker to be based in one of our Extra Care Services at Greenacres Court in Midsomer Norton on a Part-time basis, on permanent contract. This post is for 21.75 hours per week, and this involves a rota system which includes early shifts (starting at 7.30am) and late shifts (ending at 21.30pm) and working every other weekend with some bank holidays for which enhancements are paid. Previous experience of working in care would be an advantage, but a commitment to deliver quality care is essential and full training will be provided. As an Extra Care Support Worker, you will: Assist tenants with personal care activities such as washing, personal hygiene and dressing Promote tenant’s independence, choice, dignity, and respect by delivering the best standards of care Adhere to and complete accurate and timely records of the care and support provided to tenants Providing support to access third party and NHS services Be a strong team player and work on own initiative when needed Promote lifestyle choice, offering individuals the opportunity and motivation to retain independence and stay in control of their lives.
