University Hospitals Sussex NHS Foundation Trust is seeking motivated Band 4 Health Improvement Advisors for Tobacco Dependency to join their team at Worthing Hospital. This role involves working 60 hours per week (1.6 FTE) with options for full-time or part-time hours. The Advisors will play a crucial role in delivering Tobacco Dependency Services to pregnant patients and acute inpatients, providing support through face-to-face and virtual consultations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist patients in accessing Nicotine Replacement Therapy and Behavioral Support to quit smoking, with a focus on maternity and inpatient care.
  • Conduct smoking dependency assessments and follow up with patients post-discharge.
  • Train clinical staff on the importance of providing Very Brief Advice on smoking cessation.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and databases for national reporting on patient outcomes.
