Sheffield Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a skilled Senior Database Administrator (DBA) to join their central Information Services team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining and optimizing the data warehouse, requiring practical experience with MS SQL Server 2018 and the ability to troubleshoot various database issues, including integrity, performance, and security challenges. Key tasks will include managing SQL scripts, stored procedures, and database jobs, as well as monitoring server performance, identifying bottlenecks, and optimizing index usage.

The role offers flexible and hybrid working arrangements, with service hours from 8:30 am to 5:00 pm. Ideal candidates should possess strong knowledge of index management, SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS), and general SQL Server operations, including DBCC commands and database shrink operations.
