This is an exciting opportunity for the post holder to join an effective multidisciplinary team. Offering enhanced support to adults with a learning disability, living in their own homes; preventing admissions into assessment and treatment units -as recommended within transforming care guidance.
The post holder will join another Senior Speech and Language Therapist and a Speech and Language Therapy Assistant to offer clinical assessment and treatment to patients living in the community and offering an in-reach service to the learning disability assessment and treatment ward based in Billericay (Byron Court).
The post holder will have clinical supervision form the Specialist Speech and Language Therapist in the learning disability service and will have day to day support from the team lead in Enhanced Support Team.
The working hours of the team are 8am-8pm Monday to Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Bank holidays 9am-5pm. The post holder will be required to work a shift pattern 8am-4pm/12noon-8pm and a rotation of weekends (one every 12 weeks).
