CASELOAD CRIMINAL JUSTICE FAMILY MENTAL HEALTH MULTI-DISCIPLINARY NHS SOCIAL WORK
The Devon Partnership NHS Trust is seeking a Band 6 Senior Mental Health Practitioner to join the Youth Justice Service in Exeter as part of the innovative Child Family Health Devon (CFHD) initiative. This role involves providing high-quality therapeutic interventions to children and young people within the youth justice system, utilizing a Child First approach to facilitate positive outcomes. Successful candidates will hold professional qualifications in CAMHS (such as RMN, Social Worker, or Occupational Therapist) and have experience working with young individuals with complex needs. They will work collaboratively within a multi-disciplinary team, developing relationships across various agencies to address the mental health needs of vulnerable children and their families.

Key responsibilities include managing a defined caseload, conducting expert assessments, providing evidence-based treatments, and engaging in both planned and urgent community interventions. The position requires strong communication skills, adaptability in addressing individual needs, and a deep understanding of child development and protection procedures. Additionally, the successful candidate will contribute to team development, providing clinical supervision and support while participating in service evaluations and audits to ensure high standards of care.
