Great Western Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust in Swindon is seeking an experienced Advanced Clinical Practitioner with expertise in oncology to join their SACT services team. The role involves providing clinical expertise, leadership, and education in oncology within both inpatient and outpatient settings. The position requires autonomous practice, collaborative teamwork, and accountability, emphasizing excellent patient experience and care quality.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing patients undergoing Systemic Anti-Cancer Therapy (SACT) independently, utilizing advanced clinical skills.
  • Conducting comprehensive assessments through history taking, physical examinations, and diagnostic tests.
  • Demonstrating advanced clinical judgment and diagnostic reasoning to develop and implement management plans.
  • Prescribing medications (where legally permitted) and monitoring treatment effectiveness.
  • Engaging in value-based decision making and challenging existing protocols when necessary.

The ideal candidate will possess specialized knowledge in oncology diseases and treatments, with a focus on Immunotherapy. They will work in a high-pressure environment and uphold professional conduct standards.
